I’ve always been interested in where I come from and who came before me. I used to pour over my Nana’s photos asking who all these people were (if only we had written on the back of the photos!)
When my Nana passed away. I felt an urge to find all the people she had spoken of.
I remember visiting the Genealogical Society of Victoria and booking a microfiche reader for 30 minutes (not 1 minute longer!). Going through as many records as I could in that time period made me a very fast and efficient researcher.
I now have over 30 years experience researching my family as well as others. I have co-authored a book on WW1 soldiers and I have a Diploma in Family History issued from the University of Tasmania as well as the Certificate in Genealogical Research from the Society of Australian Genealogists.
I am a member of the Society of Australian Genealogists. I am compiling a one-name study on the surname Bradfield as well as being a member of a number of local historical societies.
I specialise in uncovering the stories behind your ancestors and turning them into clear and engaging narratives you can keep and share.
